DAY 01: Visit Amsterdam

Welcome to your Europe Tour! Farewell London...you are off to see the Continent! Today, you will be escorted across the English Channel, and you will travel through France, Belgium and the Netherlands before arriving into Amsterdam, full of energy and ready to Explore! Your Expat tour leader will check you in to your hotel, and then whisk you off to the city centre, where your first optional excursion awaits - an Amsterdam Canal cruise where you will get to see the city from the waterways, cruising under low bridges, and learn about the history and culture of the city too. All this whilst eating pizza and ice cream. Alternatively, if you prefer to use this time to explore the canals and streets on your own, you have free time spend as you wish, before your evening guided walking tour of the infamous Red Light District, begins. The night is still young... and the rest of it is yours to enjoy! What a way to begin your European Journey Tour! Overnight accommodation.

DAY 02: Visit the Rhine Valley

What do cheese and clogs, windmills and a river cruise have in common? Answer: You will get to experience them all on your second day of your Europe tour! The morning begins with an entertaining demonstration on how traditional Dutch clogs are made (by hand), followed by a lesson in local cheese making. Your next stop for the day is to the historical windmill village of Zaanse Schans. Check out these wind powered wonders, and discover how they were vital to industrial development to the Netherlands. This is a great chance to get some fabulous photos! Your Europe tour continues into Germany to one of the most picturesque regions of the Rhine River, where you will board a river boat and take in historic castles, wineries, and breathtaking scenery from the deck. Cruising into a stunning, gothic German village, you will check in, enjoy dinner, and have the evening free explore the town. Keep your eyes peeled for the famous Cuckoo Clock and world’s largest beer stein! Breakfast, dinner. Overnight accommodation.

Day 03: Visit Switzerland

Leaving the Rhine behind, your adventure continues to the Swiss Alps! Sit back and prepare yourself for magic views, stunning scenery and majestic snow topped mountains! Every turn is a post card. Upon your arrival into the Jungfrau Region, marvel at the change in landscapes as the altitude increases and the temperature starts to drop. Checking in to your mountain village accommodation, take some time to really appreciate the local surroundings - you are in the heart of one of the most visually stunning places in Europe. Enjoy a hearty meal together, and then decide on whether to go for an evening stroll through the village, or possibly try some of the local schnapps. Tomorrow will not come soon enough.... Breakfast, dinner. Overnight accommodation.

Day 04: Spend a free day in the Swiss Alps.

Are you excited? It’s a guaranteed snow day! For 365 days of the year, Jungfraujoch is blessed with snow, and today you have the chance to explore the ‘Top of Europe’ on one of our most popular optional excursions. The journey up the mountain is a highlight in itself, with unmatched views which will really make your Europe tour unforgettable. You will alight onto Europe’s highest railway station, and be able to view the 4000m glacier from unobscured viewing platforms. The majestic combination of ice, snow, rock and epic views will stay with you for life - time to take a deep breath and have some fun!. A snowball fight is a must, and for those artistic types, a snowman building competition. For those choosing to spend their free day exploring a local village, why not head to Interlarken, a short train ride away, and try a traditional fondue, pick up some Swiss souvenirs, or just enjoy a wander through the streets. Breakfast. Overnight accommodation.

Day 5: Visit Venice

From glaciers, to gondoliers! Follow your tour leader to one of the most romantic locations in Europe - the Italian city of Venice! However, today is about the journey, and also, the destination. We take you on a stunning mountain drive through the remainder of the Swiss Alps (eyes ‘peeled’ and headphones off for this leg of the trip), and you meander your way south east, to Venice - a city perched on 118 islands. Explore Venice on foot with an orientation walking tour, and witness the famous Rialto Bridge, St Mark’s Square, the Bridge of Sighs and the Doge’s Palace. The rest of the day is yours to lose yourself amongst the piazzas , canals, cafes and restaurants. Gondola ride, anyone? Breakfast, dinner. Overnight accommodation.

Day 6: Spend a free day in Venice.

The day is yours to explore! The best way to discover Venice is just to get lost in the streets, piazzas and alleyways of the city. Don’t worry, it is easy to find your way back. The day time brings with it the opportunity to experience the artistic side of Venice. Hand-made Venetian masks adorn the windows of the local gift shops, and if you choose to witness the traditional art of lace making and glass blowing, take one of the many canal boats to the islands of Murano and Burano for a tour. St Marks Square is incredible during the day, and a water tour of the Grand Canal is a must do - especially for those wanting those classic Venetian photos!. Venice is also well known for it’s traditional menu’s and tasty treats. There are hundreds of little cafes alongside the canals, offering a unique view of the waterways and a variety of food and wine options. (The pizza is particularly good here!) So if you prefer to sit back and watch the world go by, then Venice is the perfect place for you. Once the sun starts to sink, the piazzas fill with hundreds of people, looking to relax at the end of their day. Live music guides you through the streets and over the canals, and if you didn’t try it last night, a gondola ride is surely to be next on tonight’s agenda. Enjoy! Breakfast, dinner. Overnight accommodation.

Day 7: Visit Rome

Leaving the floating city of Venice behind, you will continue your Italian adventure in the capital of Rome - a city so popular and fantastically historical, you will feel like you have stepped back in time! The buzz of activity, tradition, passion, and authenticity will strike the minute you set your foot off the coach, and our local Roman tour guide, will take you by the hand and proudly show you why Rome wasn’t built in a day! The Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Roman Forum and the Coliseum...just for starters! Whilst at the Trevi Fountain, toss a coin over your shoulder, and legend has it, that you will return to Rome again one day. (what a great investment!) On the way to your accommodation for the evening, you can start to plan what to do with your free day. Enjoy your meal - Bon Appetite! Tomorrow will be epic! Breakfast, dinner. Overnight accommodation.
